During my journey across Cuba, I photographed many Almendrones “Old American Cars”. It was a journey back in time. Today, most of the cars in circulation in Havana retain their old mythic looks. Cubans with their ingenuity managed to keep them alive, by scraping engines and parts from crashed cars or those sent from abroad by their family members.
